Beach wood gray or driftwood gray? Driftwood appears to be more of a tan color. Did she color match the solid color stain?

The color we matched to was the "Beechwood Gray". The match would have been off the solid color stain since the material on the Hardi siding was a paint. You can get Hardi material factory finished matching any color or you can get primed Hardi material and paint after it is installed. Thanks!

Is it an added price to get a custom colour versus their standard colour choices? If so approximately how much. I am having trouble finding a colour that I like. Thanks!

Color is extremely important on the exterior of the house and I can understand how that is a difficult decision. There is an up-charge when you move away from the standard color offerings. Any existing paint color offered by any of the major paint manufacturers can be matched for a custom pre-finished siding product. The additional cost will be dependent on the size of the home. For a typical 2,500 SF house, you could expect to pay about $1,500 more for the custom matched pre-finished product. Another option is that you could purchase primed siding material and then have it painted onsite any color of your liking after it is installed. This route could end up being less expensive than the custom pre-finished color, but it would be dependent on your painters cost to do that. Good Luck!
