So I’m in the process of building a second flat, and I need ideas before I do anything. I don’t want to wait last minute and just throw in anything. So my basment is light grey herringbone style wood tile. My existing floor Is dark brown oak wood, and the new floor will be the same as my first floor (dark brown oak) including the stairs connecting. So my question is here; Would it look connected if I made my master bedroom floor into marble tile? Or should I keep it the same as the whole rest of the house?
