I would not use a white stone, such as a Carrera Marble in any kitchen, no matter what the colour of the cabinetwork due to the porosity and risk of staining. Better to use a reconstituted stone benchtop which is manufactured to look like stone, such as Caeserstone, or one of its competitors. If you have the budget look at Dekton for whitish stone-like benchtops.

As far as the monochomatic scheme it can look very smart, but will depend on the amount of natural light and artificial light in the room. Perhaps consider doing the overheads in white, and paying special attention to your choice of splashback.

You may also want to consider how long you will live in your home, as black kitchens are very much on trend, and in ten years time they will have dated and look very 2018.

I agree with dr retro. the black cabinets will date, but they will also show marks and scratches very easily too, depending on the material used. there are many variables on how the final kitchen would look, including floor covering and colour, paint colour to walls etc, if it all unifies well then it would look great, but I would consider using some of the darker blues that are on trend now, I think they would be a bit safer than the black. there are some beautiful granites available on the market too in various white tones with natural variations to them.

Was going to use ceasarstone fresh concrete. The black cabinetry is a new product I have been testing for a few months and fantastic. I don’t have any overheads at all. I will try and figure out how to do a plan on here. Haven’t even considered tiles and splash back!

Kerri, I have also used the fresh and raw concretes in the bathrooms.
I’m happy with all my choices but I would suggest cleaning them all, including the matt black with Enjo products.
Found them all a bit streaky with cleaning products, since I started using Enjo all has been great.

Thanks for the advice. I only use Enjo so that’s great to hear. I do love the industrial / modern look. This is all much harder than I thought.

You like the modern/industrial look, you know that much.
It’s only hard because you start doubting yourself.
We moved in about 8 months ago and now all the panic seems ridiculous.
Go with your gut and do what you love, no one will agree or like everything you like.
