Ceiling fan selection question

We had a wired connection for a ceiling installed in the peak of our great room, when it was built, but haven't purchased or installed a fan yet. The question is what kind should we get. We're thinking about a very large (96" or greater) fan. If you look at the top of this photo (taken during construction), you can see the BX hanging down from the top beam. If the fan has a light, the lower beam will cast a shadow, unless the light kit has two lights point down in opposite directions. There are wall switches wired for both fan and light circuits. Any suggestions?

We've spent a lot of time looking at "Big Assed Fan" brand.

To be honest, I probably would not put a light on the fan.

I'd either put a light circuit on that bottom beam, or put the light(s) on the ceiling which would mean running some more wires.

Weed, I tend to agree with you. It would be very difficult, if not impossible, to run more wires in the ceiling. There are 10" thick rigid foam panels above the 2" thick wood you see in the photo. To run the one existing AC cable you see, the electrician routed a trough in that ridge beam before it was installed. However, it does have two circuits so I am good with a light, but I think it is unnecessary. Not shown are many sconce lights on the walls.
