If you're keeping the trim, go with A or B.

I like D or maybe A and I would also paint the trim white. Any other wood nearby? Kitchen cabinets?

If you are matching the trim (I agree A or C are best), there is no reason to paint the trim white.

I wasn't planning on painting the trim white. At least not yet. Just didn't know if I needed to try to match the trim to the flooring.

I think it would look better to match trim to flooring.

I like A, whether or not you paint the trim.

Well, I just liked all the A votes...I guess I should just weigh in for A myself. Since we see one tiny little portion of trim, not sure why anyone would suggest painting it white - perhaps all the windows and door trim are also wood. They will all look good with A.

you will have to pull up that shoe molding in order to lay the flooring to the molding, or you will have a gap.

So much easier if you just remove all of it and replace w/taller, white baseboard molding. will look much more up to date

this way you lay your flooring to the wall, and put down baseboard on top of it. no shoe molding

putting in shoe molding to hide the gap of bringing floor boards up to baseboard.

or paint the wood white, bring in new shoe molding to match your flooring.
