It's been a while since I posted here. Our house has been at the 98% done state since May. But last weekend the architect brought a photographer by to shoot some external shots (some with a drone).

This one is sort of the money shot with the lake in the background:

The ceiling is some sort of polycarbonate panels. The side windows are glass.

Yes, that's a 3000' glass runway. Long Island Airpark (NC26)

The greenhouse is stunning! As is the location and the fly in neighborhood! That was a huge project - are you relieved it's over? what's your favorite thing?

That flat roof tells me you should keep your builder's number handy and make sure they eat right, exercises regularly, and doesn't move far away.

The roof over the garage/hangar and the left had tower (behind the garage) has been there since 2009 without any issues. We've been dried in for nearly a year now in the part on the right side. The only truly flat roofs are a small one over the front entry and the "party deck" over the kitchen. Neither has yet leaked.

When we were young our dream was to live on Lake Norman. Back then it was not much developed....sure wish we had bought a lot back then!
