I need advice as I’ve never done a remodel before. Is it appropriate when looking for a designer to get multiple bids and ideas before deciding on an individual?
I don’t want to waste anyone’s time of course but I need to get the best ideas that work for me and my budget. I also think the personalities should align. I need someone that has a vision about moving walls and/or reorganizing what I already have in place.
Is it typical for designers to come and do this complimentary as part to earning business, or is it charged based upon time, or is their a change for actual sketched plans?
how can I get ideas or different points of view if I don’t talk to a couple people just like anything else I spend a large amount of money on?
Plus my project is modest so finding someone who is grateful for the business regardless of the scope and scale.
