Need help with the blank wall behind my couch

I am stumped with how to decorate this wall? It has a drop ceiling above part of it. This is a basement room with accents of chrome, black, apple green and charcoal grey. The art on the opposing wall is a very large black and white of the Brooklyn Bridge.

If you put something taller on the side table, it would help break up the long, narrow space. Or replacing it entirely and putting a tall indoor plant, is another option. The drop ceiling shouldn't matter when considering the wall decor. Put the decided art work/wall decor at eye level....good luck!!

I would do a linear gallery wall, in black and white, keeping all the frames below the height of the bulkhead

love the apple Green how about an accent wall in it . That would bring in the rich tone and then accent with some great black and white photos of the family ...hope this helps!!! Have Fun Gene

This is just a quick and dirty rendering...but if you want to keep that monochrome contemporary look...this is an idea....I simulated a taller sculptural element on the end table on the right....I am NOT a pro at Photoshop...so just bear with me!

you need a large picture of a landscape and a 3 inch mirror arount the edge on a slight angle

Terracegallery's idea is great because the vertical picture on the back wall draws the eye up and away from the fact that the ceiling really dips down there on the right.

You can definitely insert a large painting on the blank wall. Preferably a white and black painting would look nice.
