i would go with neutral and add some planters on those two landings on either side to break up the grey. The neutral color will give you more mileage versus the red.

you can always paint that area that is in grey. The brown will tie in with the bottom landing next to the yellow bushes. if you add the red then you will have 3 colors instead of 2. With the 2 it will give you the illusion of length instead of a choppy look with the 3 colors.
