Go with the sample. Most fabricators will let you see the slab once it comes in, but before they start cutting.

Painted Peggies, is there brown and gold in it? What colour of backsplash would go with it aside from grey and white? I was hoping to go towards blue-grey. Would that work? I have not picked yet the quartz but I tend to go toward the one you have.

Yes, I think it would work fine with any of those colors! My backsplash is sort of off white and distressed and I think it looks fine.
