Coffee table size for small studio apt

Hi,

I just ordered this coffee table and I love the style of it. I'm not sure how I feel about the size. Do you think it's too big for my space? It will be a pain to return so I want to figure out a way to make it look less awkward. Any advice on how to make it work better in my studio given the current setup?

I'm also open to new coffee table suggestions, it will be placed in front of my sectional so size and color recommendations are welcome!

Cool coffee table! Just because you're in a small studio apartment doesn't mean you have to decorate like you're in a college dorm. There are other issues I'd deal with ahead of the coffee table. The rolling cart, ladder shelf and the low crate for books and plants need to be replaced by real furniture. Be careful that not everything you furnish the room with is leggy and spindly. A tall, substantial piece of casegoods on the white wall will serve to visually counter balance the brick wall, and provide you with storage. The little primitive ladder with the plant hanging on it would be interesting hung horizontally on the wall above the sofa. You could put industrial style clips on it to hold interesting black and white photos. Shop for a slim long table tall enough to fit over the AC unit and fill that recess. That's where you can arrange your plants and some of your decor.

decoenthusiaste I totally agree that the white wall side of the room does not look good. What kind of tall substantial piece for the white wall are you imagining? Can you send me pics?

The bar cart definitely won't stay there, I may put it somewhere else or sell it. I do need more seating in my apt for when guests are over. What are your thoughts on putting two accent chairs opposite the couch? I would want them to be pretty light weight and minimalist. Here is what I'm thinking, although I'm having trouble finding something affordable with this style. Any suggestions on additional seating for the white wall side of the room?

I think the coffee table looks great. Nice choice. I love the look of an antique piece, a shallow armoire perhaps, in a space like yours. Something light/whitewashed so it doesn't dominate too much. Or, since I don't see a table for dining, maybe something like this on the long wall, art hung above and paired with your new chairs (make sure they are the correct height for dining), for when you entertain:
