Up for Suggestions on Quilting Motif

I've got this Flying Geese quilt ready for quilting and I've hit a wall deciding on what to do. I've made one other one previously and did an all-over meandering design on it. I'd like to do something simple and quick that suits the Flying Geese design. Have any of you made one with an exceptionally successful quilt design? It's 6 vertical rows of 6.5 inch flying geese blocks with 6.5 inch columns between each row and a 6.5 inch border all the way around. Simple classic design. I guess I could do the serpentine stitch down each row like I've done several times before but before I settle on that I'd like some other ideas. For some reason the quilting phase is the hardest for me to make a decision on. Also this forum has been pretty slow lately so I thought I'd post something.

Here's one idea to think on. I'd do it all in long, straight diagonal lines. I'd take a ruler and line it up between two columns of geese at an angle (45 deg?) that follows the angle of the geese and mark. You can do that up and down in both directions and it becomes a large crosshatch pattern lining up with size and angle of geese. If that seam is extended, it crosses thru the geese and makes sort of a square pattern in the geese and continues onto the next panel, crossing the whole quilt with one straight seam at a time. That's what I'd do. (I hope this makes sense.)

Believe it or not, I actually thought of that myself. I think it would work, too. I'm not in the mood for fancy or complicated for this one for some reason.

If you want the geese to stand out, you can do vertical lines on the colum of geese and horizontal lines in the columns between the geese, or vice versa. Straight lines or wavy lines would work.

Rita, I'm not much help with this. I tend to do straight lines and meandering with hearts or stars. I'd like to try some rulers in the near future.
