I different style of table might be better for that space. Or something not so squat and chunky looking. (Maybe it's the angle of the photo?)

I love that top table. My wall is only 28" though.

Too big. It seems crammed into the space, and it blocks the view of the staircase.

Do you NEED a table in this space? It seems like too small a spot to hold any piece of furniture.

If you do NEED a place for keys, etc., could you manage it with a small shelf instead of a table? A shelf'd be "less" visual weight, you wouldn't have to sweep around the legs, and it could be made to fit your specifications.

A wall mounted demilune shelf is a that will fit. That nightstand is totally not appropriate. Not all designers are good, just like not all doctors or cooks are good.

I love that table, but it might look better somewhere else. It seems like you couldn't even open the drawer all the way. It looks "shoved" in... if I had a choice, I'd leave that space open. :)

Love Beverly's wall tables. Gray nightstand is not good there.

With your protruding newel post I think I would turn the table so the drawer would be functional, but yes it is too large.

The mirror is too big for your former table and the new table is too big for the space. I like the idea of a shelf below the mirror.
