Kumquat seedling keeps developing brown spots and defoliating

I have a kumquat seedling that I started from seed that is actively growing, but seems to be developing brown spots on its older leaves, which eventually end up drying out and falling off, usually. I'm wondering if maybe this could be related to increases in light exposure, since I recently got new, more powerful grow lights, and the last time this happened was when I brought it outside for the first time to get adjusted to sunlight for the summer.

It also appears to have iron chlorosis, going by the veiny green patterns, but I tried to fertilizing it to no avail. I'm wondering if all this would be genetic or congenital as well, since I got these from grocery store fruits.

Thanks for any help!
