Kitchen Input Please :)

I’m struggling with a few kitchen details, but I don’t necessarily have the budget for a designer, and I know some are simply preference.. so would love to know preferences on a few things.

#1. Sliders or one door to patio? Initially I thought sliders were dates but reconsidering.
#2. Window to the right of stove or more space for uppers?
#3. Microwave and oven instead of pantry?
#4. Beverage frig and counter depth frig or full frig with freezer in the basement and no beverage frig?
#5. Small pull-out pantry to the left of frig or more counter space?

Any thoughts are welcome! Overall layout is pretty much set just working the details.

First, I would reverse the line-up on the island--DW and dish storage on the DR side, with a MW drawer across from the fridge. I drew a return panel for the DW, since it is at the end of a run.

Uppers to the right of the range hood, for storage. Pull-out to the left of the fridge.

Pantry instead of ovens. If you want ovens, put them on the other side of the window, so that the counter on that wall can be used for landing space. You could still have a beverage fridge under the counter.

Undecided on door/slider--I wouldn't worry about it being dated, but what works better for you.

Is that a support post in the middle of the island? If not, I'd make the island 42" deep, and add those inches to the work aisle.

Sliders if natural light is more valuable than wall space.

Thanks so much for your input! Good point on the island run!! And now that you mention the ovens next to beverage frig, I think my brother has his like that! The only issue is the sight lines from the living room. No post in the island. I wrote beam. I meant post :) So you think the work aisle/walking space is too narrow? Good feedback. I really appreciate it!!!

Yes, I definitely prefer as much natural light as possible!!!

NKBA recommends 48" for a two-person work aisle (since you have appliances on perimeter and island).

Do you want a slider for the natural light? If so, you could do two French doors: one a fixed panel and the other one that swings or three with the swinging door in the middle. I suspect a sliding door would cost less.
