Difficult to say from such a small sample; can you post a picture of the rest of the space, including floors?

I don't like the taupe...I would lean to white ...but a creamier white. this one is too stark.

The white tile seems to coordinate better with the countertop. Also, the taupe might darken the kitchen in too large an area.

Half way between the 2 would be great. The taupe gives an illusion of poor lighting and the white makes the counter to look like it's climbing the way.
