In my observation, and from the 50 or so given to me, the plastic does not break on these. These are almost 20 years old. The plastic is not weak or tired - I examined them closely - it is flexible and intact and they function perfectly. They are much easier to install and perform better than the claw type. Believe me, I tend to over-think and over-research everything before doing a project and this has not been a hurry-up-and-slam-them-in type thing. I researched beforehand, I measured and double-checked everything beforehand, my shelves are level, they are mounted in studs, and they are mounted correctly. The claw type, when inserted and used exactly according to the manufacturer's instructions, still require some flexing and bending in order to get the base of the bracket mounted high enough underneath the shelf so that the shelf is level. These are much easier for a number of reasons and I would like to get some more. I thought this would be a good place because I know a lot of DIYers come through this site.

If anyone recognizes them and knows who makes them, I would be most grateful.

Examine some of the stamped parts - sometimes the mfg stamps them, but the paint makes it almost illegible.

I did, Geoffrey. I looked everywhere on everything before taking the time to take photos and post. The only mark on anything is "PAT PEND".

No, I was not able to locate the part (except for a listing on eBay, at the time, which I did not purchase). I ended up using brackets from Home Depot and Lowes.

Ya but the ones from Lowes and Home depot don't work. because they dont have the plastic fastener on the tip like you show in the picture

I just saw the post and am looking for same parts. I'm in a condo about 20 years old and overloaded my closet shelve. I went to home depot, and local Ace hardware looking for the support end part.

I have a large shelving out in the garage that uses this type of plastic clip. They have been doing well for decades. Fortunatly , the pressure on the plastic pieces is not of a force and direction that puts undue stress on it and it works quite well.
