The rectangles make a good border for it and you'll soon have another UFO complete. Well done! (I always look to see if any of the materials were the same ones I sewed with years ago...but none here. I did find a couple in my Aunt's stash of fabric. :))

Donna, it’s so sweet that you are finishing your mom’s quilts. Most of us have trouble finishing our own UFOs let alone someone else’s. That narrow pink border was just the transition needed between the body and the outer border. Nice job.

Thanks, everyone! Lois, I have plenty of my own UFOs! I've been alternating between mine and Mom's. Tomorrow's project will be finishing another of her tops that just needs a border.

Donna, Do you talk to your mom while working on her quilts? I think I would and it would be difficult for me to give it up unless it was to a family member. Good girl for seeing the need for a border and making it complete. Well done.
