What is the product / material of the bump out fireplace surround?

The fascia around the fireplace, and what kind of fireplace is this? the Houzz tags do not identify

    The fireplace is a Regency Horizon. The fireplace surround is a solid piece of stone with the fabricator creating the opening for the fireplace. It is attached with mastic to a furring strip on the wall. If I can find the name of the stone, I'll add it.

    The stone is a Limestone sourced at Haussmann Stone in Hayward Ca. It is called Tao. It might be called something different at other stoneyards.
