The black on a black stainless appliance is simply a thin plastic film over regular stainless. When it scratches, it exposes the silver color underneath.

Go with regular stainless...much better.

Another vote for no black SS. It's just a thin coating that easily scratches off. It also would create a black hole amongst the white, and theres the chance in a few years they'll stop making the color which will make replacing the appliances difficult.
