Can anyone identify these?

Someone gave me these, said they were edible, but they don't look like the eddoe I'm growing now. First, they're much larger (quarter for scale) and from what I saw of the leaves, they aren't taro because the stem doesn't grow from the middle of the leaf, but more like Xanthosoma. I know most Xanthosoma have edible roots, but the X. brasiliense I have don't. they have long, thin roots, but you can still eat the young leaves.

These seem to have eyes on the large bulb, where babies come out and grow while still attached to the mother bulb.
