This is our house floor plans. The blue is what we have now. The read area is what we are looking to change.
A family of five with three young kids. We would like to make four bedrooms. And make bathroom easier access for guests. Also more storage and organization near garage entry.
We have a living and family room. Both casual. The front living room is our main tv room. The family room kids use for coloring, games and extra sitting area. We plan on finishing basement and maybe have future guest room but right now kids are too young. We plan on doing most the work ourselves.
The red box on left is current laundry and family room. We are thinking about making that our master bed and bath. We would move the garage entry door closer to the kitchen. We want a master bedroom with a bathroom that would be shared for use with guests. So possible a two entry powder room/water closet. Also a entry mud room.
The current master bedroom 1 has a half bath. The indented walls use to be a niche for toilet has our souls pipe. We are thinking about moving master door over to make a laundry.
This is a long process. Any suggestions of things we haven’t thought of would be helpful.
