so bummed! bath/laundry room color palette/tile help

folks! I'm so bummed! we're adding a bath/laundry room and I had everything picked out: black marble hex floors throughout (including shower floor), white picket tiles on the shower walls, cement tile above laundry machines as backsplash and a nice cement looking gray quartz on the counters, with white cabinets.

after reading all the wisdom on using black hex marble on shower floors, I decided doing that will be a mistake as water stains on the black will drive me mad plus, the slippery factor scares me as I have little kids and aging parents who will be using the bathroom from time to time.

So I need your help! I love black hex. if I replace that with white or gray hex floors, I feel like my whole color palette is gone as the shower walls and cabinets are white too.

any suggestions on how you would mix and match.

here is my original tile choice. totally driving myself crazy now with what to do. thanks!

Try laying down some gray tiles that have a pattern in them. Some have a subtle stripe pattern or even a wood grain tile (which have become quite popular.) The darker the tile color, the more dirt/dust is going to show up. I've seen some larger hex shape tiles in grays that are very pretty and would work well in a laundry/bathroom. Just some thoughts - good luck!

Do what you PLANNED to do, and use a swiffer regularly. The slip factor is a non issue. The grout alone prevents that. Or get a matte finish black honed hex if it's a big thing. Which it really isn't as that is a lot of black grout.

Or put the cement tiles on the floor of the whole room. Use The black mosaic on shower floor, and make a splash as your counter material and match, or repeat the shower walls.

Or put the cement tile on the floor, change the counter top to black, use the black hex on shower floor, and white whatever as your back splash repeating shower walls.

I would do the hex for the shower floor (I have the same size white hex in my shower, it’s not slippery) and the pretty cement tile on the bathroom floor. Just to avoid the constant swiffering/cleaning of the hex on the bathroom floor.
