Kitchens Design Dilemma Remodeling

24” base cabinet with a 25” drop in cast iron sink?

I have a 24” base cabinet, already purchased, and a 25” drop in Koehler riverby sink ordered, the cabinet guy said it will work but I think I’ll only have 1/8” on either side of sink according to spec sheet for sink. Is it too tight? Has anyone done this?

Specs say minimum cabinet size of 27", see specs. If this is your sink

Is it too tight? By specs, yes.

If you cut the hole off centre you don't have much room for error.

You might have to modify the sides of the cabinet slightly but The overall size of the sink with the rim/lip is 25" not the bottom of the sink. Chances are the cabinet guy has done this before. We have to modify more cabinets to accommodate sinks than you think - by the time the countertops are installed you wont see it.
