Should I make hallway smaller to expand bedrooms?

Apologies for the busy drawing. The first blueprint is one option for my new hallway. And the second drawing is another option with the same hallway made much smaller in order to add space to the two bedrooms on the left. Thoughts on which hallway and bedroom entry you'd prefer and why?

And do you think it's a good idea to expand the bedrooms a bit at the cost of a smaller hallway and a smaller closet in one of the bedrooms?

If it matters, both bedrooms are small (10'x10') and could use extra space. The doors open either on the inside or outside and won't intercept and block each other and I'm not worried about 5 people clashing in the hallway at the same time.

However, wouldn't it be weird to enter a bedroom through an area that looks like a hallway (because it was part of the hallway)?

The benefit I see is extra usable space so that you don't find yourself in the middle of the bedroom by the time you open the door and walk in.

You will need largest hallways you can get to get furniture in and out with all the angles you have going on. You won’t gain much in bedrooms but loose a lot from hallways. I like hallways at least 42” wide.

@missflomangan the width is 42.3" but you bring up a good point about getting furniture in. How can we determine if the length and the way the bedroom doors are will allow for a queen boxspring (probably the largest furniture piece that'll ever need to be brought in)? It "seems" like you could slide one in on an angle, but I wonder if there's a more scientific way to tell.

My main hall is 48 inches and I love it, but, even then, there is a T at the end and the one area of the T has a door to the bedroom, and this part of the T has a 38 inch hallway. In order to get dresser and box spring and mattress in that room, we had to go through the living room, and out the doorway at the back of the living room, straight across into that room. Its kind of a pain to have to do that, and not sure what we would have done without the back doorway to the living room, which most houses do not have. Keep your hallways wider, and let the bedrooms stay at 10 ft. n That little bit of extra space wont make a difference in the bedroom, but, it sure does in a hallway.
