Oh no how sad:(. Possible fungus and I’ve seen that these plants can get a virus. I‘m leaning more towards a virus that only seems to affect Epis. This is 100% a total guess tho. Whatever it is it’s no bueno because the plant is not fighting it off and it is spreading. Have you tried a fungicide just to see if the plant responds?

Dry and 10 hours of direct will stress out any epi.

Are you aware these plants don't want direct sun? They naturally grow among tree branches, getting only dappled light? Why would you subject them to any direct sun, much less 10 hrs?

Karen, you are right about their preferred habitat. :-) I got sick at the time and went into surgery and didn’t have the energy to spare rearranging my plants to suit their needs. I just put all of them in my south facing back porch And wished them luck. So yes, I didn’t give it the right care it needs. Whatever survived the “ordeal by fire of 2018” was meant to stay. LOL. Surprisingly, I had very minimal casualty.

Kara. Unfortunately, I have not tried anything to help it. I’m just curious what it was. It’s in the trash now. LOL.
