Monstera deliciosa small growth.

My monstera deliciosa was recently gifted to me. The plant had recently had a leaf removed as it had been heavily damaged. A new leaf sprouted and this is what it is. I’m not sure why it is so small. It is getting good light and is also getting correct watering. PLEASE HELP!!
