Please post a pic of the proposed plan I can’t for the life of me figure what you are doing. What you show is one horrible mess so anything would be an improvement I guess.

Unfortunately the store room is used to store our personal possesions in a holiday rental so we cannot alter it. We have also spent a lot on a major reno so trying to limit our spending as well and not move any more walls. There is no planter either and the gallery has a lovely balanced and symetric look to it that I don't want to mess with.

Gorgeous house! There is so much more to it than is visible from the floor plan. For the robe area, you need the Australian equivalent of California Closets.

What geographical area are you in, roughly? Ikea nearby? A wall of Ikea wardrobes with doors could work out.

Apple pie's idea is a good one except you don't even need the wardrobes. Just buy the Pax bypass doors from Ikea and hang them on the framed out closet. It's what I did for my laundry nook.

Thank goodness. I thought it was just me.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback and ideas. A bit limited with resources as remote and have no power etc, hence the scribbled plans.

FYI- We ended up creating an L shape flush robe as you walk into the bedroom using the existing space. it looks amazing and doesn't look like a robe because the doors are flush and floor to ceiling. Really happy with the end result.
