Mine is in a container also. I place the container near a long hedge and the runners grow into the hedge. Looks pretty as if the hedge was blooming.

The runners get quite long. You need to put it in front of something for it to climb.

Looks great!! I found out they are a host plant, for the oleander moth, when I saw mines full of caterpillars.

You can wrap them or set the pot up against a taller structure and let them climb. If you keep cutting off all the new growing tips it wont bloom as well because they typically bloom on new growth. It needs sun and a bloom booster type fertilizer (higher middle # in the NPK ratio) too much nitrogen will give lots of growth and less flowers. Tomato fertilzer has a higher phosphorus and mandevilleas seem to like it. Always water well before you fertilze to prevent burning.

Are there two plants in the same pot? I see red and white..they will get quite large so it may need a bigger pot. If you put it in a larger pot, you could also go ahead and add taller bamboo supports at that time. Make sure your new pot has good drainage holes.
