Love the bay shaped window! I would maybe pick a color that you want to focus on for the walls and go with that first. Then try to tie in a patterned cushion for the window seat.

The whole house has this kind of woodwork. So I think for now I'm going to leave it alone although I would love to paint it white. I am thinking of painting the walls a nice green color. Is it ok to paint over wallpaper or does it have to come down first?

It is ok to have white trim in one room and not the whole house. A bedroom is a perfect spot for that because it is separate from the rest of the home. I would take the wallpaper down first, it is a lot of work, but worth it in the end.

Just wondering but what would happen if I didn't remove the wallpaper? Someone told me that it would soak the paint up too much and that I would go through a lot of paint.

There are wallpapers made for paint but these need elbow grease. It will be worth your while removing them. Love green bedrooms. What sort of green?

I have no idea what kind of wallpaper it is. I know that you can't wash it lol. All the other rooms in the house I was able to wash... I think I like a lighter shade of green. I have found a few colors on pinterest that I like. Definitely not hunter green or lime.... more seafoam I guess.

Black window trim, bright white walls, black gloss floor. Decorate with accessories then.

What a beautiful bedroom! I would remove the wallpaper before painting. It can make it difficult to paint and result in a poor paint job. It really creates a problem for the future since paint is more likely to crack and peel over wallpaper and it makes it more difficult to remove the wallpaper once it's been painted. I think it would look great painted a light green. I would consider bedding and fabric for the bench in the bay window first for checking out possible greens and pick the specific paint color that coordinated last.

Agree with collettec about fiding bedding and fabric first before deciding on paint colour. It's easier to match paint to fabric than the other way around.
Beautiful space. If you really don't like the dark trim you can paint it white. But if you're in doubt... I found lots of examples of bedrooms with dark trim to inspire you ;-)
