2" diameter plumbing pipes in bathroom?

We're remodeling our master bath and I vaguely remember reading something here about the advantage of increasing the size of some of the plumbing ones to 2". Unfortunately, that's all I remember. Can anyone please telll me which lines should be ncreased and the reasoning behind this? Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about water supply or drain/vent size?

Well, since you probably have only a 3/4" water line coming into your home, I'd guess that you aren't talking about water pipes, but we have no clue what you are talking about.

A shower is required to have a 2" drain line. 3" for a toilet, but 4" is much preferable.

Morning, thank you. The comment I read on Houzz referred to either the toilet or shower drain. I've searched for the thread but can't find it. Said to go with a larger diameter than standard to lessen future issues. 4" for the toilet makes sense. I appreciate your imput.
