Air jets are fantastic for circulation, clearing toxins from your lymph systems, arthritis and have tons of options. Like already mentioned, you don't have to turn it on everytime. The remote blower will make it so much quieter and they are so much more sanitary than traditional whirlpools. I like MAXX and Acryline brands.

Cheryl Biermann, it sounds as though space is at a premium at your son's home, and even if he did sacrifice the linen closet, he would simply be making the space more comfortable, even without adding walls to make a water closet. Adding the walls would make it cramped again. Also, where do the contents of the linen closet go? I have learned through my renovations and drawings that sometimes a house is just not meant to have some upgrades. Upgrading my kitchen to one with a huge island with a cooktop and seating for our extended family means no room for a dining table in our house. We don't mind this, but it is one more oddity to explain when we sell.

We're going with a combination Back Masseuse system consisting of 6 smaller adjustable jets in 2 rows behind your back and the whirlpool system where we can choose anywhere from 8 to 12 other adjustable jets and choose where we want them to be placed. The best thing about Hydro Systems is their Hydrozone self-cleaning function that blows out all the whirlpool and back masseuse water pipes and leaves them clean and dry, no chemicals required. The self-cleaning system kicks in automatically after each bath. No work required. We will also have an in-line heater that will maintain the temperature at the heat setting of our choice during the bathing session. Hydro Systems is worth checking out. Some other tub brands are also now implementing self-draining pipes into whirlpool baths and might be less expensive, but we were impressed with the cleaning function and multitude of features available through Hydro Systems.
