Check for insects on the bottom sides of the leaves. It looks like something is sucking the juice out of them. Viral disease is a possibility but it really looks more like bug damage.

I appreciate the responses. Having reviewed anthracnose, I think this is exactly what is going on. It is especially prevalent in NC, I have learned. I am attempting to treat with neem oil mixture as I am organic. We will see if that works.

Would be good to know for future queries how successful the treatment is.

I forgot to mention that the neem oil spray arrested the spread of whatever this was. I have picked many cukes from this same plant even though the diseased leaves died. This is a Long Green Cucumber plant by the way. Very prolific
