I would paint all the walls and ceiling the same color. Mineral Deposit seems very dark for this room, I would chose something very light, such as a soft white.

I agree - paint it all the same color... I like the more dramatic tone... make sure the doors and windows and trim are a nice crisp white and add lighting where ever you can

Perhaps, use paint colors in the same family group, but different shades. For an example, if you're going to paint using the color, green, the ceiling would be painted a light shade of green, however, the surrounding walls a darker shade of green, or vice versa, the contrast adds a little drama.

That small ceiling in front of the closet door will be white, as will the interior of the closet.

The Sherwin Williams Mineral Deposit has been lightened by 30%, and makes a huge difference. It is the color we are using throughout the entire home. All trim and doors will be criap white for sure! Floors will be natural color with poly sealing them, no stain.

Seems like the popular vote is to paint the flat and slanted walls all the same color? It gets a ton of natural light, and will have a fixture (as you can see in the photo) toward the back of the room.

No! Only use white on the trim, that’s it! If it’s drywall, it gets painted Mineral Deposit.

I am going to be the odd one out here. Paint the walls mineral deposit and the ceiling (slanted wall and triangle bump out the same white as all other ceilings.

The contrast will make it seem larger.

Sammy - it's the only true xeilig in the whole room,and will ad a pop of contrast. Albeit, that will be flat white.

Sativa - you're not making this easier! I'm listening though.

I would paint it all one paint color, just a different sheen on trim. The many angles add shadows that change up the colour more than you might think. But "pop of colour" rarely resonates with me. Layered colour does.

Paint all the trim with a really good washable white paint.

You could paint the rest in a pastel shade of the favorite color of the child the will occupy the room. Let the child whose room it will be choose the curtains and bedspread.

If you don't already have a bed for this room, consider using a metal frame (with wheels to make it easier to move it out to make it) without any headboard or foot board could unnecessarily crowd the small space and use pillows and bolsters to define it as a day bed.

One possible exception to the no headboard idea might be choosing a retro bookcase headboard that could actually be useful; however it could make moving the bed away from the wall to make it easier to make the bed more difficult..

All trim/doors will be Simply White Benjamin Moore in Semi gloss

Suezbell - good call! The bed is actually a metal frame with no headboard or footboard as the current room isn't huge either.

I'm debating not putting a door on that closet and maybe just a curtain and let it be open for toys and a bigger feel

For a room with lots of light, I will suggest B.M. Stonington Gray with its slight blue undertone, in an eggshell finish for everything, but doors and trim.

Stonington was one of the colors we put u as samples. We weren't in love with it and ultimately decided on the color we chose.

You will have a lot of shine bouncing off a satin finish and bringing attention to that slant. I would paint in a matte/flat finish. The new flats are highly washable.

Ugh, I already bought all the paint. It is satin, and the trim paint is semi gloss..... The only flat I have is white ceiling paint.

Would definitely only do flat on your ceilings/walls. It's much more forgiving with lumps and bumps and defects on the surfaces. And then a low sheen satin for your trim. Our bonus room had lots of funky angles and I wasn’t sure what was ceiling and what was wall so we did all one color which helps it to look less chopped up with all those angles.

daralisa - LOVE your room. Very creative and beautiful (love the chandelier and the leather chair to the right of the pix). I don't think I'd even know what to do with that room if it were mine.

I would paint the ceiling the same as the wall color to keep the eye moving upwards, without a break of color. It will seem larger and visibly more comfortable.

I think I would camouflage the small door by not becoming a focal point. Painting it the same as the walls will help it get lost and won't visibly break up the space.

All one color even what you think of as the only ceiling I agree that small door just painted out. This was our attic bedroom in our old house all one color with white trim it was a taupe ,

The entry door to the room by the window? Or the closet with no door opposite the window?
