Trees Going Green Wildlife Garden

Looking for a place to donate trees

Each year our maple trees drop their seeds resulting in hundreds of baby trees in the middle of our flower garden, lawn, and vegetable garden. To ensure they don’t damage the growth of our other plants, I always pick them when I weed and dispose of them. After learning about the devastating effects of deforestation, I decided to reach out to the internet for help. I was wondering if anyone has encountered an organization to which I could send these baby trees to be planted in the wild. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

It would not be worth the energy to send them somewhere unless you found some place locally. Perhaps a school project or the like.

Also depends on the type of maple. Some non-native maple species can be quite weedy or even invasive and those are ones you would not want to spread around.

Find out what kind of maple they are before doing any sharing. If they are Norway maple do not disperse any of them, Norway maple is a significant pest species in the northern US. Even though it is also still in commerce!
