Your thoughts on not-flat wall paint

This is my favorite kitchen ever. Even though some things would not work for me in our space (unfortunately), I still love everything about it and am totally using it for inspiration for our kitchen renovation. I don't think the DKC paint colors are available but I have emailed Pratt & Lambert to see if they have comparable colors--but my question is, I LOVE flat paint, the other person in my household hates it because he thinks it doesn't clean up easily (we've never had to scrub our walls so I'm not sure where this originates...). What do you think in general about one step up from flat on walls? Would that be eggshell I guess? Can you tell? I feel like it wouldn't have the warmth of flat but I think I'm going to be stuck with it and hoping you will tell me it won't make that much of a difference. Or maybe that I need to fight for flat :) Thanks

I have preferred eggshell. Matte finish helps hide wall imperfections, but cleans easily - especially fingerprints.

Yes, we have preferred eggshell finish for walls for the aforementioned reasons. You could go to your paint store and see if they have samples of the finishes for you to see in person. Good luck!
