I think you need a better design. One that doesn’t waste 50K on doors and engineering. Either incorporate that room into the conditioned space of the house, or use the doors on the exterior wall. It’s already so much house that having it not be conditioned space seems a bit strange.

The three season room is mislabeled here and really going to be a screened in porch.

Your looking at about $1500 a lineal foot for a folding door and 30-35% less for a pocket slider.

You want to die on this hill of a badly designed space to the tune of $1500 a foot?

I have 16' in my living room and 8' in my dining area. I originally looked at the nano wall systems. They were double the cost of pocket sliders. Guess which ones I chose?

Panoramic doors have already given us a quote that would come in a little under $15k for everything. And their customer service has been phenomenal so far. Guess this is the company we will go with!

Did you end up using Panoramic Doors? Do you like them? We are in the same place you were in last year and weighing our options. We are looking at La Cantina, Panoramic, Western Windows, etc. I'm trying to get quotes from each comany to bring to our contractor who is building our house. I've heard the quote that most systems cost around $1,200 per linear foot. Just trying to find out how accuarate that is. Panoramic's automatically generated quote is coming in between $8,500 - $11,000 for a 8'-16' area.

I am looking at Panoramic Doors as well. Julie North_Adams and/or Olivia, what did you end up choosing? And are you happy with your choice?

I wish I could tell you we are finished building our house but we haven't even started. We still plan on going with the Nano Doors. Our builder has not heard of or worked with La Cantina and we can't get a response from them either so we crossed them off our list. Nano doors are expensive but they completetly make a statement or give you this amazing open feeling. With the amount of money we are spending on building a new house, the price of a Nano wall/door is practically nothing and totally worth the money, to us.. So we decided to have that be the one thing we were not going to compromise on. I'll keeo you updated if you're interested. We are finally through permitting and will break ground in a few weeks.

I went with La Cantina (it is local) it was the best price, I'm very happy with them. I have two, one in LR and one in FR.

I am looking for a panoramic type of door, single separated panels that slide on a single track and then stack 90 degrees off the wall. What do you suggest? When you say nano doors, do you mean www.nanawall.com

They are one of the major players in folding patio type doors. Western, Eurowall, most of the quality companies have one, just expect a quality product to not be inexpensive.

@Olivia really hoping to hear of your experience this far with the panoramic doors. Am in the same fix and extremely tempted to get them. The bug screen and the flexibility they give in how they open makes them super compelling. Wanting to make sure their service and product is as good as the promise. TIA!
