Brown spots on bell peppers?

All, wondering if someone can tell me what's wrong with my bell peppers based on the photo. Some (not all) of my bells develop brown spots and are not their typical bright green color...but they aren't transitioning into their mature red color as they normally do either. This brown discoloration is something that I have not encountered before. Is this anthracnose? And are the peppers showing these problems (like the one in the photo) edible or garbage at this point? I'm thinking they are headed for the trash can but looking for some confirmation. Thanks in advance!
