sound insultation between floors

We are in the process of a major renovation of our kitchen which long story short, the ceiling is open/not currently drywalled. The contractor asked if we wanted insulation installed there (between floor 1 and 2). Currently there is carpet upstairs but lvp or hardwoods are the eventual plan for the upstairs. I don't care about it being perfectly soundproof but dont want it to be super noisy either. I've been reading about the resilent channels and sound insulation. Any advice?
