Did you read the comments in the first thread artistsharona posted? This sounds like you're going to need some good craftspeople.

My fabricator used a laser system to measure, I put granite next to new drywall, and I still ended up with a few gaps here and there that were okay when covered by the tile but too big for caulk. Maybe my fabricators just weren't that good - I guess I don't know how usual those gaps are.

I hope some of the pros show up on your thread.

Make sure to hire a really good countertop fabricator for this job who has experience doing granite against brick walls. Request to see photos or go see some of past jobs similar to yours. It's doable but more complicated. Look into prepping the brick to make smoother where the counters connect too brick to get less gap between. I like the photo you chose,too.
