A floating floor (click together) together with a strong moisture barrier product (sheet product) is often used in basements. It is the simple solution moisture vapour problems. It is safe, simple, fast, effective and cheap.

For those individuals who 'pooh-pooh' the very idea of a floating floor, the expensive (and disruptive) multiple layer roll-on products applied straight to the slab (and PREFERABLY up the cement wall if this is in a basement) is the only option for them.
