Visqueen instead of sealer on slab? Have you done it?

Went to a flooring store today and told the salesman I have moisture issues/high water table.

He says that laying visqueen on the bare slab and installing luxury vinyl plank or waterproof wood on top of the visqueen is how they typically handle it in our very moist environment.

In the past, I’ve been told by other flooring experts that I need to use. $3/square foot sealer.

Anybody have experience with this?

No way that’s going to work, get the expensive sealer
Visqueen on direct on bare slab is fine
