I live in a 2007 craftsman home. I have dark flooring and cabinetry everywhere so don’t have time/money to fix that yet. One big eyesore to me is the fireplace (the tile is so brown and darkens the room). I’d like to brighten up the room a bit while making things look more clean and modern (but not entirely into something too farmhouse looking/rustic, although I really do like shiplap). Any ideas on what to do to reface/remodel the fireplace?
