We do the same thing as Joe, keep the toothbrushes in a drawer and charge once a week overnight. Simple, no cost.

Thank you all! In your vanity drawer are you keeping it upright to dry better or lying flat? I always thought it needed to be upright for sanitary purposes to dry best but maybe not. Do you have an organization insert for your drawer? Would love pictures!

Ours is just like Beth's 3rd picture. No need for expensive medicine cabinets, our electrician just cut and added an outlet. Shelf is positioned so it’s tall enough when brush is charging.

I have a between the studs built storage cabinet. The eletrician put an outlet in there for our ele. tooth brushes. They stand up right along with the other tall skinny bottles of stuff.

These are xx-large recessed medicine cabinets, electrician added a duplex receptacle to both for toothbrush charging.

I, also, charge once a week and keep it in an organizer in the drawer. It’s always seems dry in the morning from brushing before bed.

We have Quip toothbrushes for our kids. They send you a replacement head and battery every 3 months. Maybe check that out so you don't have to charge it? But, we store our electric toothbrush in the top drawer and just charge overnight as needed.

I’m generally a wrench in the works, so here goes: clutter is junk that doesn’t belong. Will you have soap dispenser or soap dish on the counter? Towels? Do you and your DH use the same handle? If so, do you both clean and completely dry it every time?

We have a tower which sits on our double vanity. There are 2 electrical outlets on the outside, low and turned sidways, and there is one outlet inside. We store our toothbrushes in the tower.

I'm with bpath. Anything I use as often as I use a toothbrush (several times a day) stays out for my convenience. And horrors of horrors, I keep my hand towels ON THE COUNTER using a countertop towel holder. I find this obsession with hiding things getting out of hand. Especially in the kitchen. People are hiding their fridge, their DW, toasters, coffee makers, etc. An appliance garage? I have a garage for my car so it doesn't stay out in the weather - not to hide it from the neighbors. Why would I hide kitchen appliances in a kitchen? Why would I hide my tootbrush in the bathroom? (The lid is down so there is no toilet plume.)

I built an appliance garage in a linen tower and love shutting away the toothbrush and jewelry cleaner I use for my retainers:

You could also have one of your drawer stacks (or change the design to have a cabinet door pull out like a drawer) be an actually double depth drawer that pulls out, but looks like single drawers when closed and put your outlet in there:

You could have a beautiful tray or plate and keep it on that below the outlet along with a few attractive things you use every day such as a pretty glass perfume. I store lipsticks in my silver baby cup. Form and function.

We had the electrician put 2-gang outlets inside each vanity. One of my favorite things about our new master bath! (I don't have to look at my or my husband's electric toothbrushes or cords.)

Also put an outlet low on the wall behind the toilet, in case you want a heated seat or power 'cleaner' seat/toilet someday. If you are renovating your bathroom, its so cheap to add 3 more outlets.

I have a sonicare and found that it only needs to be recharged once every few weeks (I only use it once a day, and a regular toothbrush at other times). not storing it on the charger preserves battery life.

I bought a normal toothbrush holder big enough to hold it, and put the charger away.

What about a tall recessed niche between the studs on the left-hand wall? The shelves could be glass. You could add an outlet inside the niche bottom shelf where the toothbrush charger would be. The niche would be open, no door, lots of air for the brushhead to dry. The niche could have some trim around it. That’s my plan for my mbath cause I had the same dilemma for my toothbrush. However, if a towel ring was going on that wall, you couldn’t do the niche.

Another suggestion: 2 recessed medicine cabinets with a recessed niche in the middle and add trim around the whole thing.

Here‘s a 3rd suggestion: Power Perch. I bought one to keep my electric toothbrush off the counter. Unfortunately, my wall outlet was too close to the corner of the wall for the Power Perch to be used. Tried to return it but the vendor never responded. So, I still have it, unused, in a box. One of these days it will be a garage sale item.
