I do see the pink in Muslin but if you love it cut it 25%

No pink undertone in Muslin….and it is not a saturated color…it is an off-white with a coppery undertone. Looks great with B.M. Linen White for trim.

B.M. Etiquette is a gorgeous color.

I‘m not a pro but Maria Killam categorizes Muslin with a pink undertone in her color system. If you compare it to a true white like Bm Chantilly Lace you can see the slight pink.

Under what light source?

I recently was looking for a lighter version of BM muslin and went thru several of the lighter shades, none of which really worked for various reasons. I ended up having them make 1/2 color muslin —it worked perfectly for my room. They should be able to make a quart for you to test out.

@Recordaras and @All Responders— THANK YOU for posting and providing feedback for this question. We recently completed our retirement home and used BM’s “Muslin” in all of the public spaces. Unfortunately, we have since decided that it’s too dark, thanks, in part, to the surrounding trees and porches. Although we will probably pull the final color selections from a mural/wallpaper that we hope to use in the dining room, I’ve been researching “lighter” Muslin options for ages, without success. Everyone’s feedback was SO HELPFUL!! THANK YOU!! ❤️

Interestingly, my “eyeballing attempts” had already put “BM’s Lambskin” on my “short list,” so I’m relieved to know that I’m on the “right track.” Thanks again!

Hi. I am coming to this discussion because I like Muslin but find it a bit dark/saturated. Please can I understand what it means when a few commenters above have said 'cut it 25%' or 'I ended up having them make 1/2 color muslin' @mle0782

Paint pigments are put into cans of neutral bases in drops and it is all computerized. If you ask a paint store to cut a color to 50% they have a way of doing that. You may or may not get the result you're hoping for, but it will be chemically correct. I have found that 25% is not a perceptible difference. In order to see a difference you need to do 50%. I have had this work very satisfactorily for me a couple times with blues and greens. In the past other posters and commenters have said it is not as predicable with neutrals. In any case, Lambskin is already formulated to be just like Muslin except lighter, so you shouldn't have to mess around with custom formulas.
