From what I understand, the photo stream is set up so that whenever someone adds a photo to their ideabook it goes to the front of the stream...so, if a bunch of people are adding the same pics from a new ideabook then those pics will keep showing up in the stream.

Thank you for your reply. I understand the same on how it works, but the same photos have been there for days, in the same order which seems odd to me. I am sure they are very popular photos, but I have never seen the same photos, in the same order, stay on the main photo stream for a week, but then again I don't always check the main photo stream category so maybe they do stay in the same order for that long if people continuously keep adding them. I just happened to start checking it because I thought there was a problem when I did not see the time lapse on the photos. Are you able to see the time lapse on the pics?

P.S. - It just occurred to me that I should add a photo to one of my idea books and then check the photo stream to see if it's there. I guess I would answer my own question if I did that -- Hey hey :)

I just tried adding a room to an idea book, checked the main photo stream, and it is not there. So, either it's either their problem or mine not sure which though.

If anyone else can check and let me know, that would be great.

Yea, it's confusing, but that is what they told someone else when the same question was asked before...maybe there is a "hiccup" going on as well, though. I am definitely not a tech person!

We are actually experimenting with keeping the order fixed during the day and refreshing it nightly. The order indicates the most popular photos that day.
Some users mentioned that they would prefer a more fixed order, so that they can go back and forth between pages and not see repeat photos.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

For me, I prefer to see all photos that are being added up to the second! I really liked seeing the time lapsing when photos were being added up to the second (always thought that was a cool feature on your site) as well as the main stream picking up new photos that I had never seen before. The constant changing of pictures, keeps me interested! The way it is set now, with most popular of the day, I feel little bored with it (sorry ... don't get me wrong ... I LOVE your site and I think Houzz is, as my teenage son would say, "ON POINT"). Could be that I just have to get used to it too. Maybe other Houzz members will respond to the experiment and you could get a better idea of how the members feel ??

The "live stream" sorting option is back- you can select it from the left navigation area. If you select it once, it will be remembered for future sessions.
We are looking for a better way to highlight this option and let users know about both navigation options.
