Benjamin Moore Paint Color Shoreline #1471

I just painted my bedroom BM Shoreline #1471 with BM white on the trim. The light in my room is South West . What colors for my duvet cover and accents would look good with BM Shoreline?

Thanks so much for your help,

Deb

Hardwood oat no tint & I don't know how to post a photo. Lets just say in theory what colors tend to look good with BM Shoreline? Thanks again - Deb

Shoreline is a pretty neutral gray so you can do many things. Layered whites; purples; beiges with some gray. What is your bed like? Any art you have for the room you could pull colors from?

Madison Park has some nice choices. Their sets are very reasonably priced too.

Thanks so much Flo. I appreciate your help and you were respectful and not abrupt the way the previous Pro was to me in her response.

What other colors run throughout your home? What about the furniture in the room? What tone is it? Dark wood? Light wood? Any upholstered pieces? What about your window treatments? You have a nice neutral that just about anything can go against but let us know what your existing pieces are and overall the colors in your home so we can give you a cohesive plan. Posting a photo would be helpful.

In addition to the questions above, it's also helpful to know what your style is. Without seeing photos of the space and knowing more about the room you can't really get helpful information.

oh deborah,,i wasn't abrupt. are you serious?

we can all post a zillion pictures of what we think may go w/this color we can't see on your walls, or, you could help us help you by posting a photo so we know what we're working with! Come on.

We don't know your style, your budget, what else is in the room, if you dislike any combinations, etc. You're the one asking for help and advice so give us a little something to go on. It's not that difficult.

Flo posted 4 photos and instead of giving her any feedback, all you said was 'thanks', and then shame my comment. This isn't an etiquette section. if you want help then provide necessary info, otherwise, we're all just spitting into the wind and wasting time.

Design Interior South basically just asked you what I did. Post some photos

you don't know how to post a photo? Ok,,see the little photo icon right below this comment box? click on it, and upload your photo. done.

the walls in this room are Shoreline. could you do this?

    This?

    this one?

can you see our dilemma from this end?

Shoreline is a beautiful soft neutral gray that is easy to layer with any of the cooler colors.

I especially like it with deep blue green grays.

That is good advice. But we really need pictures and just to put my 2 cents worth in the bedding should have been chosen before the paint, you are lucky that color is pretty easy to work with. We can give a 1000 ideas but but we need pics and info from you to really help.

Thank you all - I just want to let you know that I had hired a color consultant and did have my bedding but I felt shoreline really didn't look so good with the bedding I chose. It was reading blueish in my room but I do love the color. I see blue and violet undertones in it. My floor is neutral I have southern exposure. I just wanted to know that if everything is neutral what colors tend to look good with shoreline. I didn't ask anyone to give me style ideas just what colors tend to go well with bm shoreline. Thank you so much to all of you that really had some good suggestions and offered them with respect.

I didn't ask for help decorating my entire room but thank you for offering that help. I just wanted to know what colors in general look nice with BM shoreline regardless of anything else and that is all I asked for. I did get some of those answers and thank you for that. Yes Beth you were abrupt and now your latest comment of "are you serious?" is rude.

If they had an eye-roll emoji, I would insert one here. Apparently just about everything offends you. I bet you're a blast at a party.

Geraldine - yep. People don't know how to just be kind. And 6 years out from this post, it's worse than ever. Sad. And yes, I'm commenting on a post that is 6 years old.

And staying on topic, shoreline looks more blue with violet undertones in my bedroom. It's a beautiful color. I've had for 16 years now and never tire of it.
