Wayfair vs Hayneedle vs Overstock and all

. I have been browsing a lot on Wayfair (and its companies Birch Lane, Joss and Main and All Modern). I find they have different pricing on the exact items. Most people I know who have used them are very pleased. Someone recently suggested Hayneedle, and although I have definitely heard of it, I realized I don't hear it mentioned much. I wonder if you have any input on Hayneedle vs Wayfair? vs Overstock?

I am wondering if maybe Wayfair is more east coast?

Curious for any information.

Florida here, I’ve used all mentioned. For me it comes down to the total price, including tax and shipping. I often get the fastest shipping and best price, with easier returns, on Amazon.

Interesting, as I remember about 5 or more years ago when I was first starting to look for some furniture and hayneedle kept coming up in my searches. I ended up ordering from a different outfit, but somehow I never see that name come up anymore when I do a simple search ( like for decorative pillow, or console table). I always get Wayfair, sometimes amazon, rarely overstock, and sometimes other sites, but never hayneedle. A friend of mine was mentioning hayneedle the other day and spoke very positively about it. I assumed it was equivalent to Wayfair.

I guess I keep getting Wayfair because I have clicked on those links.

Just thinking about this, I used to always get overstock.

All those businesses are still around, but I guess the logic of the maximization is what does it.

Anyway I have ordered from wayfair and found it to be very reliable. I have not ordered from hayneedle but I have heard it's good as well.

    Hayneedle is owned by Walmart.
Walmart purchased Jet.com several years ago and Jet owned Hayneedle, so now Hayneedle is owned by Walmart.

I've ordered from both Hayneedle and Overstock, and requested returns from both. Hayneedle simply replaced the item (patio bistro table), and Overstock refunded (and paid for return shipping; item wasn't as described).

I'm too annoyed with Wayfair to order from them, lol. Last I checked, name brands/manufacturers are hidden, making it difficult to comparison shop. I understand that is deliberate. But it's annoying, so I don't bother. :-/

If making a major purchase from Wayfair, it's always worth a call to customer service. Ask them for the best price. They will check the item's price on their affiliated sites and adjust the price for you if they find it lower. I've also had them offer a 10% discount on occasion.

I prefer Hayneedle over Overstock and Wayfair most of the time. Generally the pricing is a bit lower.

It's nearly impossible to find anything on Overstock without searching though hundreds of things. I kind of feel the same about Wayfair.

I feel like Hayneedle has a smaller selection than the reat, but their prices tend to be lower. I really like the Wayfair “infrastructure” - great search engine and filters, decent app, tons of reviews with customer photos, but find them to often be the most expensive of the bunch.

This is very interesting-so that explains ( at least to me) why when I search for a particular item sometimes why Walmart sometimes come up when I know there is no way it is walmart.

As far as pricing, I find the pricing very fluid on wayfair, and it seems that if I then check on their affiliates (Joss and Main, Birch Lane and also AllModern) there are different prices or promotions. I have been using 2 apps lately, one is honey and the other is wikibuy , and they do seem to work as far as finding discounts or better pricing for the same item. Good point about calling Wayfair when ordering to make sure to get the best price.

I do find though that an item I like on Wayfair today may be $499, tomorrow could be $419 or 399 and then the next day $560.

I seem to be hearing people definitely liking Hayneedle so now with my FOMO I guess I have a new one to drain my time with!!

I have found on many occasions that the same item I find on Wayfair, Overstock or Hayneedle is available on Amazon. I have ordered from all of them, had good purchases from all of them but also had to make returns with all of them - which is why I prefer Amazon if the item is available there. The ease of purchase, Prime shipping, easy returns if needed makes Amazon my choice. I find the way items load on all of those other sites to be maddening but I also haven't searched any of them in a while so perhaps their customer experience has improved.

DD2 ordered floor tile for her bathroom remodel last year. She had an unopened box left and return was easy. There was a return charge, but refund outweighed the cost. She also ordered nice bathroom faucets for sink, shower and toilet lever, and was happy with her purchases.

I always check other websites too, but Wayfair won out on the above and a light fixture for the nursery.

I have not seen any of the other sites other than Wayfair. (well, yes, Amazon...) From Wayfair from which I have two rugs in my house (both I love dearly). And a new set of stoneware dishes. The dishes were very inexpensive but are extremely solid and well-made, more so than I expected them to be. I just wish they came with a platter or two.

Don't use Houzz/Homesquare. They sent me the wrong table and are saying that I need to dissassemble it and figure out how to get it sent back to them, just so they can send me the correct one. Awful customer service.
