Everyone's taste is different. I rarely like beige or tan with brick - too blah!

I personally would choose a sage green, blue-green, gray-blue, or a soft gray that coordinates with the roof. Weathered wood differs by manufacturer but in general does go well with many siding colors.

Thank you!!! The soft gray, the one in the top right is the one that we are leaning toward the most. We are also adding 3 dormers to the front and thinking about taking the shutters off under the porch and put black shutters on the brick. We will also remove the arch on the front porch.

does the weathered, wood shingle roof look like the last pic? I'm wondering if you could find a more consistent color that won't compete w/the bricks colors. seems a bit busy looking.

for instance, could you do more of a slate gray or charcoal roof color?

maybe even a darker siding?

Your brick has black. I would lean toward gray/black roof and medium gray siding. Are your windows white?

I like color in the middle top more.

I had weathered wood in last home, but our brick was shades of brown. Wouldn’t put on your home. So sorry you have had the trauma of that storm. So hard to get through the process of repairs and restoration. Good luck.

Middle top would be my choice of these colors. With dark slate or black roof.

Thank you! I know the pictures are not the best and might be hard to tell. Here are some better ones of the colors that seem to be trending with what would be best for us. Between the last two, I am thinking a gray the is in between the two. One seems too light and the other too dark.

1st or 2nd. (i like the 1st best) the 3rd looks too purple

I would get sample planks because I see too much blue in these choices. Any sage green option? Hold up together so we can see differences better.

Ask if there are homes nearby you could drive by to see larger looks at these colors. Can’t make this big a decision from 2x3” samples.

If you can see on homes, make note of roof colors.

Thanks Flo!! We will definitely do that. We have found it is definitely hard to make a decision off these little samples. Here is a picture of the 5 colors we were choosing from from the 2x3 samples pack they gave us.

I don’t like any of those choices for your home. There must be better choices? You could do HardiPlank or similar and paint color that is best. Don’t settle. You have been through enough!

I think so too, I really want to see a medium gray which doesn’t even exist in this pack. Windows and white trim. Black shutters on the brick. I am going to ask about the roof to see what options we have for a dark gray/ black.

The brick looks like it has shades of "charcol grey" and black. I think you would like a warm grey or warm charcoal but it has to work with the greys in your brick. Bring home some paint samples in warm grays and put them up to the brick .....stick them on

Thank you!! We are going to the supplier today to see if they have another brand that is a gray is mid range between the sterling gray and granite gray. Hoping it is a bit lighter than granite yet still a warm gray. 🤞🏻

If the gray you love is too dark ask the paint dept or store to lighten it up...They will put a sample on a cardboard and when it dries the color will be true not when it's wet ok..?

If you go gray, pick shingles with black and gray. Weathered wood won’t look right. Black/gray will work better with your brick too. These need to be selected together.

Hi Flo- That’s what we are doing. The supplier has both roofing and vinyl siding. So we will be able to choose both at the same time.

We used Certainteed Cypress. To help me choose, I had Sherwin Williams color match a few small paint pots of the colors I was pondering. These were painted onto poster boards--days of mulling ensued. Large samples are really the way to go.

I think we have opted to go with the thunderstorm gray roof and this medium gray that is lighter than granite.

It’s also called granite, but a different brand. The house will have white trim.

Thank you Flo. This is just a start. We still have the entire interior of the house that has to be done also. We have long road ahead but I am so happy to be able to at least have this decision made.

Update... the siding is starting to go up. I feel like it looks great. I’ll post another picture when it’s done. Anyone willing to help me with an interior flooring decision??

For interior flooring, I would suggest golden oak hardwood. I have it in my own home, and I love it because it goes so well with other colors.

as for flooring, lol, all depends what else is going in the home style-wise.

do you want wood or tile? laminate (please no)

There are so many great flooring options. I wouldn't do golden oak (the stain color anyway) because it's rather dated looking. a more natural oak is fine, or something w/a little walnut color to it is also fine. I'd also suggest going w/white oak if you want it lighter.

Red oak is cheaper and fine if you want to do more of a walnut color

I just did these wide plank, wire scraped, french oak in my own home. they're engineered. super easy to care for and hold up very well

Wow! Thanks for the photos. I am torn between engineered hardwood or stained concrete. I wish I had pictures to share, but the interior is nothing but studs at the moment. Here is as much detail as I can give.
The kitchen is open to a breakfast area and living area. My kitchen has cherry cabinets (reddish) and I have a brick fireplace in the living area that I want to German Shmear or whitewash. All the trim in the house will be white. I want neutral colors, I love to cool grays, but open to the warmer neutral as well. It’s a blank slate except the kitchen cabinets we were able to keep. Thanks for you help!

stained concrete (I have that in my sons bedroom) is a bit more modern. and it's cold! if you're in florida, great. not so much if you live in Minn! it also has to be done by a professional or you will have problems. ahem. and, it could cost the same as a good engineered wood flooring install.

Why don't you look into the wide plank french oak flooring? I went w/California Classics- Mediterranean, (they have about 12 diff colors of that floor) or try Provenza. They both very good quality

i don't know what your floorpan is like, and if you want to use the same flooring in your kitchen, (I did, but I have white cabs), but I really like a black slate w/cherry

or if you want the wood, here is a darker oak tone

white oak pretty much goes w/everything.

White oak also takes stain nicely if you want some stain.

White oak is neutral and will go throughout the house well. I had a cherry kitchen in my last house and had natural unstained red oak floors. They looked great with the cabinets.

That is what it is called here in Louisiana, it was a challenge to locate but so happy we found it. Coming up very soon we have to choose whole house paint colors. And I kitchen counter tops. I plan on replacing what we have with a white or white marble granite or similar.

I am hearing a lot about how great SW agreeable gray looks in houses, but it seems it matches up better with “greenish” colors and we tend to lean more toward blues. I am not a fan of green in form, unfortunately. Had it before and thought it might grow on me and never did.

Glad you got the calif classics selection! you'll love it. I got the Granville color for mine. I also use Bona wood cleaner for them. Don't forget to get the good glue. It's about $150 a barrel. I used 3 barrels for close to 850 sq ft, if that helps.

as for paint color, what do you think of these?

(I love this Graphite and the Baby Fawn or one of the soft grays. Your door and window trim in the Graphite would look killer w/the lighter wall colors

at the very least, do the graphite or black on all of the doors. looks so good w/the wood floor, bright white trim, gray walls and the dark accent. Don't know if you're doing black windows, but it looks great:

I love this look too. the darker baseboards, door/window casing, and doors. (you could also do white doors w/this look)

This one is SW Crushed Ice, and a nice white like Simply White

This Pale Oak, and warmer white like Cloud White or White Dove.

Some warmer grays that have a little taupe in them.

Light Pewter is another nice one. I did it on my walls

I love the idea of black doors, trying to convince my family it would look good. We do not have black windows, just white trim through out.

Amanda, if you need another visual, you could show them mine. when I redid the master bedroom/bath I chose black trim and doors. (btw, my walls are that Gray Cloud I mentioned above)

I do wood finishing, so instead of paint I actually dyed and stained this red oak trim and french door in an ebony.

The white trim is actually the base white in the can straight off the shelf! No added tint. (BM Advance Base 1)

(oh, and this is the only room in the house w/the black trim. You asked if it was ok to mix things up. I think it is. It's not like any of this is visible to anywhere else in the house. If you like to do something diff, then do it!)
