Need Help with Wall color!

Hey everyone!

We are in the process of decoration a sort of bonus room/office on the second story of our house. It's been quite a pain to deal with so far and it seems that it gets worse with every passing day. Today we got in the rug, which we like, however it turned out to be a slightly more gold tone than we had originally anticipated. The bigger issue here is that the fabric for the curtains is fairly hard to match. It was rather expensive and the curtains are nearly done, so they cannot really go. Furthermore, the fireplace in the room is a French red/pink marble. I think they all can go together, however, I think the right color is critical to making it all work.

We have looked at lots of lighter shades, however, we would like this room to be a tad darker and richer. We already told the painter BM Hillsborough Beige (which seems too pink with the rug now), but he has not bought the paint so we can still change our minds if need be. We are currently looking at Lenox tan which is probably the best in terms of balance between pink and gold (but is otherwise a bit blah), as well as some other neutrals. We looked at a few greens as well, but were unsure they would look coherent with the other elements. Where do we go from here? Blue? Brown? HELP

The painter is coming tomorrow morning!

I've attached two pictures in natural and lamp lighting.

I also have the entire deck of Benjamin Moore colors, so suggest away!

Thank you all in advance!
