I have no clue the drawing tells me nothing and why so much hanging space . Pictures of the space could help and why wire shelving also what do you mean by larger items.

Put shelving along the wall above the sink and washer/ dryer to store detergent, bulky items, etc. You might consider upper cabinets rather than wire shelving for a cleaner look. I would mount a rod across the entire back wall with the window, as high as possible, to use for hanging items, and place your baskets underneath.

Take thee and the layout, with all dimensions including height of the ceiling and dimensions of the machines, sink, and what the walls are (foundation? Drywall?) to The Container Store. They will help you design an elfa layout for your needs. I think you’ve missed the winter 30% Off Sale, but their 25% Off Shelving Sale, which includes elfa, comes around in August. In the meantime, take a look at their website, they have some good pictures. I installed elfa across one end of my old laundry room and it was the best thing I did, until I added a Home Depot sink base and utility sink, with cabinets above, on the other side of the machines.
